Hi, I’m Gal, a 3rd year PhD student at the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University. My advisor is Dr. Noémie Elhadad. My research focuses on leveraging machine learning and data visualization techniques with large patient health record data to uncover actionable information for clinicians.
Before starting my PhD I worked in economic consulting and a nonprofit think-tank doing data analytics. I hold an MA in economics from NYU and a BS in financial economics from University of Toronto.
